I’m Frédéric Blanchet.
Coming from France, a country rich in art and history, these fields immersed me in a deep fascination that has never ceased to grow.
At first light, I wake up to savor the morning quietude and capture the splendor of nature, architectural masterpieces and the essence of urbanism.
My quest is to study the links between human beings and the environment and nature, to discover how these interactions shape our world.
Creating images is for me a gradual exploration, where I discover little by little how my work contributes to our history by combining the vestiges of our past with architectural modernity.
After years in international business management, I chose to reconnect with my essence, abandoning the comfort of certainty for the promise of authenticity.
It was in photography that I found an artistic escape, an almost meditative practice. It has become the voice of my creativity, a way of raising societal issues, creating bridges of social engagement, capturing the vitality of urban environments, and telling the hidden stories of our collective heritage.
As a resident of the Eastern Townships, accompanied by my family, I embark on journeys across North America and Europe, in search of snapshots, to weave a thread of images that silently tell the story of the spaces that surround me.
